Money Making Mom by Crystal Paine

There is a growing movement of women, mostly, returning to home and creating a home-based business so that they can be at home with their families and still bring in an income. Crystal Paine of MoneySavingMom.com has released a brand new book titled Money Making Mom that is a kind of “how to” manual for creating your own home business.

Now, being a SAHM I have been working on creating a business, for myself from home, so I was curious as to what Paine had to say. I have to admit, I was a little disappointed with the book, but I feel that comes from having a background in business.

This book is filled with some great information, if you know nothing about business and this is your first introduction to creating a business from the ground up. Paine touches on the subjects of branding, mission statements, marketing, etc. She is very through and talks about all the basics to help the reader get a foundation in which they can build a business.

Since I have a background in business, I found myself bored with the book. All of the information she was presenting, I already knew, and probably have a more than elementary understanding of so this was mostly redundant for me. But, if you don’t know anything about business, this would be a good book to learn a few of the foundation processes. If you are familiar with how to create a business, skip this book. It will be a waste of your time.
