Never Unfriended by Lisa-Jo Baker

There are a ton of new books out there that are based around friendship. Who would have guessed that in a day and age where you can instantly be friends with someone via the internet that we would have problems and struggles in our real life friendships. Ok, so maybe that's not much of a shocker. Struggles with friendships have been going on for many, many years and they will continue for a very long time.

Lisa-Jo Baker has created a new book, titled Never Unfriended, that is a a great manual for creating lasting friendships. Now, I didn't expect to much from this book since most of the friendships books are very shallow and "fluffy," but I really liked what Baker had to say.

Friendships are hard work and Baker gets this. She addresses every aspect of friendships that can cause issues. From feeling lonely, to being vulnerable and even encouraging you to BE the friend you want to have. Baker really gets it and shows you through examples of her own experiences. She writes with honesty and really a "I know where you're coming from" approach, because who hasn't had relationship struggles before?

While I know that this book was written for an adult, woman audience, I feel that even teen girls could gain so much from reading this. It would help them to see how to avoid issues before they start and hopefully show them HOW TO BE a good friend so that they can create life-long friendships with other women that will withstand all that life throws their way.
