Having a Martha Home the Mary Way by Sarah Mae

House work isn't always fun, well, I don't find it fun. The downside is that we can't get out of it. I don't want a house that is cluttered and looks like a slob lives there so cleaning is a necessary evil. What I never thought about was the fact that house work can glorify God.

In Having a Martha Home the Mary Way by Sarah Mae she shows you how you can have a cleaning house and soul by using her 31 day plan. Throughout her 31 days, Mae shows you how to break down larger tasks so that you aren't overwhelmed with cleaning. I feel she had the women who hates to clean in mind when writing. Mae is very encouraging and uplifting. She talks to you from a place of being your friend, not someone who would be looking down on you because you have a dirty house.

While I felt there was nothing new in regards to cleaning my house, her addition of scripture helped me to shift my perspective of cleaning from a mere annoyance to something that could possibly be used to glorify God through the ministry of homemaking.

If you like to clean, check out this book. If you don't like to clean, check out this book. You just might find some encouragement that will change your outlook on it.
