Two New Adventure Bibles for Kids

I love the Adventure Bible series.  The bibles are fantastic and they have so many different ones that there is one for every age imaginable.  The two I am going to write about in this post are the NKJV Adventure Bible and the Adventure Bible for Toddlers.

The Adventure Bible for Toddlers by Catherine DeVries is a board book filled with 10 bible stories from creation to Jesus’ resurrection.  The stories are short and perfect for toddler ages.  I have to disagree with the ages listed on the back…it says for ages 4-8, but I think any child over 6 might get bored with this and it will work for children younger than 4.  But, what really makes this bible are the illustrations from Jim Madsen.  They are bright, colorful, and engaging.  They are sure to keep your little ones attention and last for a long time with sturdy cardboard pages and pillowed hard cover.

 Now, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a copy of the Adventure Bible in the NKJV translation.  If you are familiar with Adventure Bibles then you know all the extra features they have within.  But, if you are not, there are some amazing little extras that will help to increase your children’s knowledge of scripture.

They are:
  • Words to Treasure
  • Did You Know?
  • Life in Bible Times
  • People in Bible Times
  • Live It!
  • Book Introductions and many more.

It’s just like the other Adventure Bibles, but in the NKJV, which I like since I want my kids to have different version to compare scripture.  This way they can notice how the words change with each translation, and dig deeper into God’s word.

I will say that the Adventure Bibles make great gifts.  I have actually given some as gifts to friends and family and with Easter coming up soon, I would definitely suggest that you consider these bibles.

{Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of these two books from Zondervan through the Z Blog Squad program, in exchange for my honest review.}
