Believe: Living the Story of the Bible to Become Like Jesus from Randy Frazee is all about application of his previous book “The Story.”  Believe encourages you to live out “The Story” and strive to be like Jesus.

This book is promoted as a bible and if you know the format of The Story, then you know how this book is set up, but if you are unfamiliar with that format, you might be a little disappointed since this is not like the traditional bible.

There are three different sections that will walk you through a aspect of being more Christ-like, Think: What do I believe, Act: What should I do, and Be: Who am I becoming.  Inside each section are 10 chapters that will provide scripture to help you commit to believing and, in turn, act more like the one whom you have pledged to follow, Jesus.

What I love about this book is that it’s FILLED with scripture. Randy’s notes are distinguished from the actual scripture by being italicized. Plus, like I said before, it reads more like an actual book, but still a bible at the same time…Best of both worlds.

Included at the end of the book are discussion questions that will help you dig even deeper and find ways to be more proactive with your faith.

This would make a wonderful church study, as I know that many churches have worked their way through The Story and if not a whole church study, it would make a wonderful small group study.
