The Beautiful Word Devotional from Zondervan

Zondervan has a new devotional out that is really appealing to the bible journaling community. The Beautiful Word Devotional: Bring the Goodness of Scripture to Life in Your Heart is a gorgeous addition to any devotional collection.

This devotional goes along with Zondervan's The Beautiful Word bible and the two products work seamlessly together. They have taking the format from the bible and turned it into a devotional and I have to say that I really like it. On each page you have either an illustrated bible verse or place for you to write your reflections and observations. Throughout that devotional you will find full pages that are lined for you to write notes, prayers, or whatever lies in your heart. 

The devotional themselves start with January 1 so you can jump in whenever you want to start. Yes, you might be starting in the middle of the book, but this wasn't really an issue for me. I love that it's dated. The devotions start with scripture, have a small devotional reading, and ends with a prayer. These only take about 5 minutes, at most to read, and would be a great addition to your quiet time with God and a cup of coffee.

As for the audience of this book, I think it would be a wonderful book for anyone who loves bible journaling because the illustrations are gorgeous and inspiring. I also think this would make a great devotional for a young woman or someone who is new to the faith. Easy to read devotions and pretty graphics make this one that would catch anyone's eye and draw them in. Plus, you could couple this with the Beautiful Word Bible and they would make a very nice gift for any woman, young or old.
