Jesus Today by Sarah Young

I have always loved the Jesus Calling series by Sarah Young. Young has a way of connecting with the reader and bringing Jesus to life. Her kids books and young adults are a great complement to the adult versions. She has a new "teen" version of Jesus Today, but this book is for many more than just teens.

She starts by saying that this book was written during a hard time in her life and you can see that resounding them throughout all 150 devotions of this book. But, what I love about that fact is that she understands the hard times and, if you are going through a rough patch, you find your story on the pages of this book.

Now, yes, the cover is directed at teens and it's eye-catching with beautiful colors and a simple design. Although that's the case, don't let this fact fool you. This book is WONDERFUL for all ages. From adult to teen to reading aloud with your small child. It is a great devotional for any age.

What I really loved about this devotional is that it's grounded in scripture. There are many, many verses that helps reinforce her daily devotional. You can used these as a way to connect back to the bible or as a journaling prompt if you journal.

Overall, I think this is a great book. Sarah Young wrote another great devotional.
