Marked in Ink: A Tattoo Coloring Book by Megan Massacre

"Megan Massacre, one of the most popular tattoo artists and reality TV stars with starring roles in TLC's NY Ink and America's Worst Tattoos, brings her wildly popular art style to a coloring book." {From Amazon description}

Yes, I am on the adult coloring book bandwagon and not ashamed a bit. This coloring book was a little outside of the norm for me since most of my coloring books have inspirations quotes or faith filled pictures, but I loved it. Marked in Ink: A Tattoo Coloring Book by Megan Massacre was a wonderful addition to my steadily-growing pile of coloring books.

I am fascinated by tattoos and the artist that produce them. There is some AMAZING talent floating around in this world and Megan is no doubt one of the best. I knew nothing about her going into reviewing this book. Never watched the shows she was featured in and didn't even know her name, but I am a follower now.

The images she drew were wonderful. There are some of your "typical" tattoo favorites such as skulls, hearts, and fantasy pages but she also included a couple cats and dogs that were cute to color. Although I felt some of the pages could have been a little more intricate and a tad bit juvenile I actually liked having the space to shade, design, and add my own personal touch to the images.The best feature by far, which I feel gets overlooked A LOT by adult coloring books, is that she made the pages easy to remove. There is a perforated line so that you can rip them out without taking the chance of ruining the page. It is PERFECT!!!

So, in the end, I really loved this coloring book. It was fun, quirky, and very interesting. Her talent defiantly comes through on the pages...even in just black and white.
