Rest Assured by Vicki Courtney

Overwhelmed? Feeling a little bit runned down and don’t know why? It might be from living an over-committed and busy life. Break free and find rest for your soul in Rest Assured by Vicki Courtney. Rest Assured is both an intervention and recovery plan that will help the reader find their way back to a calm, restored way of living.

Faced with the daily onslaught of social media and constantly seeing a new way of connecting with others over the internet, it’s a struggle to life a distraction free life. But with this life comes a very malnourished soul.

Courtney encourages the reader of her book though an intervention first, then a plan to recover from a starved soul. Her writing has a feeling of comfort and love even though she is “slapping our hands,” during the intervention section, for all the social media  distractions that we allow in our lives. When we are filling our souls with junk we become completely run down and life is not the best life you can possibly have.

This book could not have come at a better time. I am hoping and consciously working towards being more present in daily life and cutting the tether to social media. Nourishing my soul is a commitment and this book is and will be helping me through this process.

I loved this book and I know you will too. If you are living with an overwhelmed soul, you don’t have too. Get this book and work towards a better life.

  2. Great blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers?
I'm planning to start my own website soon but I'm a little
lost on everything. Would you advise starting with a free platform like Wordpress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I'm completely overwhelmed
    .. Any ideas? Cheers!

    1. Thank you so much. Honestly...the only thing I can tell you is to write what you're passionate about and what's in your heart. A lot of the time the number and stats can be a little discouraging, but as long as you are writing what you love, don't worry about them. I highly suggest giving a free platform a go, especially if you aren't sure if you want to put in the work or if writing is for you. Blogger and Wordpress are great places to give it a start. Thank you so stopping by and leaving a comment. I greatly appreciate it!
