Laugh Out Loud Pocket Doodles by Rob Elliott (For Girls & Boys)

Kids love to tell jokes. There are tons of books out filled with millions of laughter inducing jokes. But there are a couple of new releases from Revell publishers that mix jokes and doodling and put two of kids favorite time wasters into one small and compact volume.

Laugh Out Loud Pocket Doodles by Rob Elliott, illustrated by Jonny Hawkins, is a great little book that will keep kids busy for hours. There are two versions of this book, one for boys and one for girls. Each one has the same format of one joke per page  and then a partial picture that goes along with the joke. The objective is for the child to finish the doodle by following the prompt at the bottom of the page.

What I love about these books is that they are small and compact. They would be a fabulous inclusion to your summer vacations or holiday travels. The book itself is only 4inches by 5 inches and fit perfectly in a small travel back. Couple them with your child’s favorite writing utensil (crayons, colored pencils, markers) and you will have something that will keep them occupied for hours in, whether in the car or anywhere else.

But, warning…you might get tired of being asked jokes after a while. There are tons in these books.
