Unwrapping the Names of Jesus by Asheritah Ciuciu
I love the Christmas season. It's one of my favorite times of the year. There is just something about all the amazing sites, sounds and scents that brings me hope, peace and a feeling of love. What I don't really like is all the hustle and bustle that comes along with this fantastic time. In Unwrapping the Names of Jesus by Ahseritah Ciuciu, I found a little bit of extra focus, along with peace and quiet, during a time of unnecessary stress.
Ciuciu has written a beautiful book that brings you some much needed peace during the holiday season. Throughout this 4 week devotional book you will learn about a different name that was given to Jesus all through the bible. There is one for 5 days of the week along with a devotional for Sunday. I really loved that it was broken down in this manner, because it was focused on the meanings of the weeks during advent.
Included in this book are different scripture references, activities you can do to implant what you are reading into your daily life during advent and beautiful words that help you focus on what you should be focusing on, instead of being overwhelmed with all the craziness.
During the holidays, this book was a God-send. It wasn't the best holiday season and when I just needed some time with God and some time to change my focus and get my mind in the right spot, this book was amazing at helping me do that. I don't know what I would have done without this book this past Christmas. I know that it will be one I turn to every Christmas and my hope is to start reading it with my family when advent times comes around again.
