The Edge Over There by Shawn Smucker

I have been very patiently awaiting The Edge Over There. It's from Shawn Smucker, who I was introduced to in the prequel for this book, The Day The Angels Fell, and I am so happy that I was. I know that I have not been too interested in reading fiction lately, as you can see from my previous reviews, but there is just something about Smucker's writing that I couldn't pass up.

In The Edge Over There, you will continue the story of Abra that was started in the previous book, but first you will get some back story that will help you understand even more. I would love to tell you all about this book, but I don't want to give anything away...it's such a wonderful story.

What I can say is that Smucker has written another masterpiece. I fell in love with his previous book and this was exactly the same. I couldn't put it down and was extremely sad when the story ended. Smucker has a way of just drawing the reader into his fantasy and never letting go of his hold on you until you close the cover.

I wouldn't say this book is for the younger reader, but your teens, and possibly tweens, would love the story if they are into fantasy and sci-fi-fi books. It's a good, clean read that I know this age group would enjoy, and even adults as well.
